On Top of the World, With You [Day 9, LE]

As the sun began to set the Inquisitor whom had revealed himself to so few waited for his challenge, for the one's who would come to him to do battle.

"Tonight's the night we correct this old mistake," he spoke to himself, looking out to the desert. Cold settled in around him like an old friend.

[Leah kuso]

The first one to approach however...was not the challenger.

Leah had gone ahead, despite knowing Tranq wouldn't approve, because she didn't want this to happen. She knew if she spoke to him...maybe he would listen. Wrapped up warmly, she approached.

[Arwen]

Stood by the monument facing out to the desert he didn't even turn, just called back, "You're here early!" his tone was bombastic, yet wilted.

[Leah kuso]

"I came to talk to you" Leah continued to move closer, doing her best to ignore the cold "you...you don't need to do this. You don't. There are other ways."

[Arwen]

"I'm afraid there isn't," he said, standing from where he sat he turned to Leah and stepped once closer. His cloak billowing in the wind. "What you don't understand is something that was failed to be explained to you. Your.. well, he's close to you. What he is, and what I am? We cannot exist together. I, trained by a Sith, him, trained by a Jedi. It is only natural that we fight, only right."

"I want this fight, more than anything. For me there is no other way," he said.

[Leah kuso]

"That's not true though. You believe that this is the only way, the only path. It isn't though."

Leah continued to move closer to the man, pushing through the bracing wind.

"It doesn't matter who you are trained by, all that matters is who you are. I know you can be more than just a weapon. I felt it...I feel it. I know it for sure!"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"She's right. This doesn't have to happen." The Karkarodon called as he summited the mountain. His armor was on, yet refashioned. While not exact, it looked as though it was the battle armor of the Clone Wars. On the shoulder pads, scrawled on, was the symbol of the Jedi order.

Clipped around an ear was a trail of beads, the symbol of Padawan learners without hair to cut to the braid. At his back, was the spear blaster.

Notable, though, was what hung at his hip. Slightly larger than a standard hilt, made of leather, and wood, and bone.

His new Lightsaber.

But the hands were empty.

"The die aren't cast. No one's path is chosen. It's not too late, Inquisitor."

If this turned badly, the Clones knew where he was. Raven knew. Solork knew.

"I can feel the conflict in you."

[Arwen]

"You," he said, looking to Leah as he brought his hands to his helmet, "don't even know who I am. You speak of lofty goals, turning away from my path, but you fail to understand what my path even is. The hate I feel for this planet, and these people. How little I care for the fates of the Jedi, of the Sith, of the Empire, or anyone else. How hollow existence truly is," he released the clasps that kept his helmet secured to his armor. Lifting it.

"Your rebellion is built on a lie, a lie that the woman in charge will lead the people to anything more than their deaths. How could she do any better, when she betrayed her own son to the Empire? Everyone I cared for died that day. Yet my mother lives spared from the Empire for her actions."

Pulling his two lightsabers from his belt, he ignited them, "So come, Jedi, I'm tired of talking. I've done it enough. Let's do what we were meant to do, fight, and die," he gave both of the crimson blades a flourish.

[Leah kuso]

"Both of my parents are dead, murdered in cold blood with me to be next. A gun held to my six year old head, I had to beg to repay their debt. I'm still repaying the debts 10 years later!"

Leah put her arms out.

"We're the same you and I. We've both suffered because of this planet, because of how they treat us. Do you think I'm happy? Playing the smiling happy girl all the time, knowing how people look at me? Of course not! That doesn't make this right though!"

[Tranq Sayzin]

Phroth didn't draw his saber. His face turned to sadness, compassion, as he looked at the angry young man. "I'm so sorry. I know what it's like to be betrayed, to lose everything." He replied, just loud enough for all to hear. "The same thing happened to be, the day the Empire was born. But how much sadder would it be, to die for a cause, for an Empire, you don't care about, and that doesn't care about you." He took a step closer.

"You don't have to be consumed by anger. By fear. By Hatred. I could have been a mirror of you. I could have let all that happened to me consume me to a ball of rage. But we have a choice. We can rise above. If you wanted to start this fight, you would have just done it without waiting for me." He shook his head.

"The Force brought us together. It's not too late." He extended a hand. "Let's just... step away from this place. Let it go."

[Arwen]

"No," he looked between Leah and Tranq. "No, neither of you could possibly understand," he lowered himself into a stance and prepared for combat.

"Well Tranq, it seems that your ability to gain friends rivals my own." There is a quick and raspy chuckle. "And you kept a secret. I guess I can't judge."

Solork Tan, Gank killer, eyes the lightsaber in the Karkodan hand.

"But I have to say, I want one of those"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"I understand all to well." Sadness filled his voice as it seemed the Inquisitor was committed. In an instant, the great hilt was in his hands, his stance in the opening of Ataru. The blade ignited, vibrant and green, the snap-hiss echoing off the mountain.

The Karkarodon stood position, the saber stance shifted to one slightly more defensive, as Phroth reached out. Feeling the connection between himself and the Inquisitor. That hard line of hate and anger searing into him as he Marked him for Death. Yet he didn't move, his eyes sadly looking at the dark warrior.

"It doesn't have to be like this. If you continue down this path, only one of us will be walking away from this summit. Does your life mean so little?" He quietly replied, waiting on the defensive.

Sol focuses, already hearing Cartess' admonition in his head and he aligns the Force within him, strengthening his muscles. He adopts a guarded stance, shield up to prepare in case the Inquisitor comes his way first.

"You speak as if that's not exactly what I want," he said, dropping one of his hands lower. Focusing, his brows creased and Leah felt her footing become un-steadied but she kept her feet on the ground. Leah felt not only that but the worry, concern through the force. Uncertainty had plagued him at the pivotal moment. But why? Then he was angry, perhaps, that it didn't work he swore to himself and re-focused.

"I died the day they did," he said, reasserting his stance.
