[D7LE] The Final Countdown
A new venue. A few new tricks! Manny was ready for another exciting show.
"Thank you, thank you, it's good to be here tonight. I'm Magic Manny, and this is my assistant, Lovely Leah." Smiling, he gestured to the Twi'lek. "So, who's ready to see some magic!"
Grinning, he looked out into the crowd, eyes scanning for familiar faces.

Leah smiled, waving to the audience. Where Manny was dressed as the masterful magician, Leah played the part of the dazzling assistant perfectly. Her outfit showed plenty of skin, and her movements were all done to draw the eyes to her.
"We're all here to see masterful magic Manny are we not?" she made a motion to lean forward and put her hand on her ear, as if to hear the audience cheer.

While Manny didn't see a familiar face right away, there was a familiar helmet, taking up a spot in the back of the room.
Raven finally got a chance to see Manny do his magic show, after all. And she wasn't planning on letting everyone see her dumbstruck face when he pulled his tricks.

Vince didn't really drink, so he wasn't really any bars favorite patron. Still this was the kinda place he found jobs on occasion, and he had heard on the street there was a magic show tonight, though he wished it had been scheduled earlier so he could of brought his siblings.
The weirdo wearing a helmet in a bar got a wary look as he bad his way to a empty table and plopped down. He could ignore them and watch the show , though now that he noticed how little the twi'lek was wearing he was a bit thankful that he didn't bring his siblings. Emileia would likely end up calling him a pervert before the night was through.

Re: [D7LE] The Final Countdown
Raven recognized the kid from the day before, smiling a litte under the stoic demeanor of her helmet. It was... a nice sensation, to see familiar faces in more places, without being scared.
So far she had paid for a drink, but wasn't yet drinking... maybe she didn't want any unexpected surprised during the show.

Re: [D7LE] The Final Countdown
Another person entered the bar, a Mirialan male with light brown hair. Walking up to the front of the crowd he watched Manny and Leah. Nothing seemed particularly notable about the fellow, young.. perhaps a touched refined, but he didn't seem like he interacted much attention with the crowd around. All he did was watch the show.
Leah, wouldn't like it, didn't like it, whatever it was, she didn't like him here.

Another of Manny's shows Lysa wouldn't miss it! She sat in the crowd leaned back against her chair smiling wide excited to see what Manny came up with this time.

Vince dipped at his cola from his seat, the Mirialan man didn't particularly interest him, but then he was a healthy young man and there were other interesting things around.

Manny grinned and waved at all the familiar faces and helmets. "Thank you, everyone!" He said, waving again. "We've got a lot of great stuff to show you guys tonight."
He turned to Leah, his eyebrows going up. "For our first illusion... Leah, how do you feel about being tied up?" He winked at her.

"I thought we kept those for private shows" Leah said, a wink to the audience and a small giggle to get them to laugh. She turned away from the audience for a moment to look at Manny, taking the chance when nobody would hear to whisper 'man at bar, brown hair. Very bad feeling about him and my gut is never wrong.'

Manny's grin faltered, but only for a moment. Keeping his cool, he grinned at the audience. "Well, we're not gonna show them everything." He let his eyes pass over the man at the bar without pausing.Leah kuso wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 8:51 pm"I thought we kept those for private shows" Leah said, a wink to the audience and a small giggle to get them to laugh. Manny brought his hands together, and then pulled them suddenly apart. A length of rope was visible, somehow going from one sleeve to the other. "Whoops! How'd I get roped into this?" He steadfastly ignored the groans from the audience.
Turning to Leah, he raised his hands. "Leah, help me out, would you?" When she came close, he whispered to her. "You wanna play it safe? Or take care of him?"

Raven laughed quietly at the bad jokes, but at the first trick with the suddenly appearing rope, she sat up straight for a better look, nearly tipping over her drink in the process.

Meanwhile, the Mirialan intently watched the show.

"Show must go on right? Just don't leave me tied up" Leah said quietly with a smirk, offering her arms.Manny Donos wrote: ↑Tue Jul 28, 2020 9:03 pmManny's grin faltered, but only for a moment. Manny grinned at her. "Trust me." And her jokes were good, too...
He looked back to the audience. "Now, first, I need someone from the audience to inspect the rope, and tell everyone that it's real. How about you, in the helmet!" Manny said, pointing to Raven. "Come on up!"

Meanwhile, another man entered the bar and took a seat somewhere near the back. Dressed, today, in his Imperial grays. Proper officer attire, as not to get mixed up with the rabble. For now though.. he watched the show and twirled his matchstick.

Wait what?
Raven knew he was pointing at her. And she hated it. I'll break his leg later for this...
Begrudgingly, Raven got up and headed to the stage, for now grateful for her cloak draping over her chest to hide that she was wearing Mandalorian armor. And that she only had a pistol and knife with her. Would've looked pretty clunky otherwise.
Manny could probably feel the glare behind the visor as she joined them on stage.

Re: [D7LE] The Final Countdown
Raven would see Manny's grin falter just a little as he sensed her... well, not murderous intent. But well, it was for a good cause.
"If you could give this rope a tug, and let everyone know that it's a real, solid rope." He said. He held it up, close to his body.
When she moved closer, he whispered to her: "The brown-haired Mirialan by the bar is trouble. Watch him." For just a moment, Manny's expression was deadly serious.

Curses...
She gave an affirmitive grunt and nod, and then 'inspected' the rope. Giving it a few rough tugs.
"It's a real rope, alright."

Re: [D7LE] The Final Countdown
"How can we be sure?" the man in the Officers uniform asked, having worked his way carefully through the crowds. "Perhaps our friend here should test it somehow, does she have a knife, perhaps?" stepping outside of the crowd he walked right up toward their stage.
In the back, the Mirialan watched on with interest. Looking, primarily, at Leah.
