These blastmarks are too precise for Jawa [D1, EE]

Weeks of scavenging in garbage piles around the city; when she could've been out here, in the sweltering desert, scavenging... some place that had already been stripped clean. Bah, what was she even doing out here? Well, it was good to get out of the city for a bit, at least. And with what she'd heard of this place, she figured there might be *something* left deeper inside.

First she clicked on her glowrod, shaking the dust from it and making it flicker for a moment. Then she took out her vibroknife, just to have it out and ready for anything...

...before moving inside in search of whatever salvage might still remain. Who cared about danger? That just made things exciting.

Entering into the base she discovered the small opening was merely covered with sand and debris, for just inside the entrance was a huge hanger bay which appeared to be used to service war-vehicles of some kind. Though little remained of any of the complicated machinery that might have once been found here. Toward the back there were a multitude of different hallways, most were blocked off entirely by the destruction that took place here once.

Others, however treacherous, remained open.

She moved toward those openings; using her glowrod to peer into each one that seemed to still be traversible... trying to figure out which of them had the most promise; and also which was the one the Jawa had told her about.

While none of the hallways appear to be the same, from her understanding of what the Jawa said she was able to pinpoint one on the right in particular that was likely to be the one.

There was probably stuff in some of the other passages too... but 'bad stuff, dark history' sounded like the sort of option that had the highest likelihood of a positive outcome. Or a bad outcome... but there was something sometimes said about risk-vs-reward, right? She went down that corridor on the right.

For the first while the debris didn't get in her way too much but very quickly it was becoming a problem. There was much that she'd either have to lift out of the way, or contort her body a bit to get around. Quickly, as well, all of the light from outside dissipated and it was only the glow of her glow-rod that continued to illuminate anything.

Easier done than said, Roxi was a natural at lifting stuff. She'd been doing it her whole life, or something!

It was heavy, very heavy, and it took some effort but she managed to lift the bit of rubble and move it out of her way safely. What she discovered underneath was an antiquated battle-droid from the Clone Wars, mostly intact. It was probably something she could scrap for parts herself or perhaps offload the risk onto the Jawa for a nice price.

"Nice! Utinni!" She inspected the chassis, looking for the best way of possibly transporting the thing out of here. She also, however, peered on ahead to see if there was the potential for more salvage up ahead. After all, this place was supposed to be 'bad history' and 'bad stuff' or what not, right? Surely an old deactivated droid wasn't going to be it. She might have to make a note of where this thing was and swing by on the way out to pick it up.

Or, perhaps there was an easy way to re-activate it, maybe override some settings so that it recognized her as friendly or what not. She didn't really know the history of all this stuff, didn't recognize the significance of the planet she grew up on in the context of the clone wars, but the droid seemed of a somewhat familiar design probably. She'd likely seen others of this type in the rubble back home.

For as far as she could tell there wasn't a way to reactivate it, but if she had a strong chord or rope she could neatly pack up it's limbs that it could be more easily worn/carried like a backpack.

Looking further, however, aside from a intense chill coming from deep within she saw nothing of immediate note as she couldn't see far. However, there was much rubble in the way.

Fortunately, she'd found just the thing somewhere a little earlier in this tunnel. Some old length of hydro-coil that could maybe be used for just this kind of purpose. She went to the task packing up the droid to wear as a backpack, fortunately she was strong and otherwise not weighed down much, so she should be able to carry it without too much effort on her part. Once suiited up, she returned to the task of trying to proceed further into the tunnel; moving rubble out of the way whenever necessary and possible. Chills be damned.

Further and further in, she came to a blast door that was closed tight. A computer that was ebbing with some juice in it still, enough for at least an attempt she could hope. Otherwise she might need to find a way to power the door again, or find another way through. Find someone who could tackle this door in a way that she couldn't.

She was *definitely* not going to be able to do anything like slicing the door's systems. Roxi was smart enough to know she wasn't smart enough for something like that. So she tried searching around for any immediate alternate way of getting past the door. If that proved to be a bust, she'd decide to backtrack and go down one of the other tunnels. Maybe there was like a... keycard she could find somewhere. She remembered that was a thing in this old hologame she found in working condition once; where you had to find different colored-keycards in order to get past doors and defeat all the demons to find the elevator to the next level.

Though the door blocked her entry for now, there would surely be other methods of entering. Perhaps it was merely a question of equipment, pathway, or other alternative ideas of the sort. Maybe even different individuals might have an idea of how to bypass a door like this.

She hated to rely on people who would demand a take of her cut; and to not get all of the loot on her first run through the dungeon. Though she'd end up going for a repeat with allies if necessary, she supposed. Still, she was determined to see if there was anything more she could squeeze out of this little expedition, and went down one of the other tunnels.

Backing her way out toward one of the other tunnels takes some time. Though the sun can be seen to be going down over the desert outside, she peeks her head into one of the other tunnels. Inside she hears a small crash as something is toppled over and the movement of some creature, or creatures, inside.

Vibroknife at the ready, she went in. No sense in being scared of anything now.

[Honor]

As she enters the domain of whatever is inside she feels the hot air blowing in from the desert entrance behind her. Slowly the surroundings grew darker again and took on the color of the glow-rod. Weighed down by the droid on her back her advance is slow but steady.

Whatever might come, would come. And she'd be ready.

Claw marks against the ground, she noticed and examined them. Whatever it was, it was big and angry. Angry, because as she looked at the claw marks she heard the brushing aside of large chunks of rubble coming right at her.
