(D2 LE) Double Trouble

[Varina Ordo]

So Varina had a problem: she wasn't sure how to pay off the Pykes. Yes, she had a bit of revenue, but it was kind of a lot.

For now though, she wanted to talk about the bar fight. "So the guy throws his punch. The target isn't supposed to be hurt so I whip out my garrote." She dangled the wire for show. "Adult guy punches him, I get it around his throat, and then Roxi hits him in the gut."

[Raven Cadera]

Chewing down a ration-bar, Raven listened to Varina's tale of the bar-fight. Nodding and smiling. "Nice moves there. Taking opponents alive's tricky... smart call with the garrote."

[Varina Ordo]

"The club security didn't seem so happy. I wasn't planning on strangling him to death. Just wanted him to take a nice dirt nap." Varina furrowed her brow. "Or is that dying?"

[Raven Cadera]

"I think so...?"

She wasn't quite sure herself sometimes. Napping in the dirt sounded like something dead people did.

"Shame about the club security though. Outsiders just don't appriciate a good fight," Raven sighed wistfully. So uncultured.

[Varina Ordo]

"It'd be more like a tile nap?" Varina shook her head. "I wanted him to wake up later! Can't just kill people for no reason."

She nodded. "Exactly. Why I'm a little disappointed that I did actually get help. I wanted to see if this guy could get out of the choke hold."

[Raven Cadera]

"Hmm... a vibroknife should do an easy enough job of cutting through that garrote of yours," she said while pointing to Varina's "weapon" of choice.

[Varina Ordo]

"Wouldn't he risk cutting himself though? Besides, then I just pull out my knife, right?" Varina crossed her arms. "Is a garrote an escalation of force or is it the same as punching a guy?"

[Raven Cadera]

Raven shrugged. "Most sentients don't react kindly to being choked out and will usually fight with what they got to break free. Honestly, yeah, I would kriffin' escalate force if someone started choking me."

[Varina Ordo]

"Oh." Varina looked at her garrote. "So I should have just smacked him over the head then? But people don't really respond kindly to that."

[Raven Cadera]

Another shrug. "Same reaction most of the time with violence. Not everyone appriciates a good scrap. Especially outsiders."

[Honor]

"Already you swap tales inside the Enclave," Praxton says, pleased by what he saw. Stepping close to the duo he looked to Raven and nodded solemnly before turning his attention generally again.

[Varina Ordo]

"That's what Mandalorians do, right?" she boasted. Her mom had done that all the time! And who was a better role model than a woman who abandoned her family to go blow things up?

[Raven Cadera]

Raven nodded to Praxton. He was a good person, and she trusted his presence.

She chuckled a little at Varina's words. "I suppose so? My... parents would often tell stories of their biggest fights and battles."

[Varina Ordo]

"They'd actually tell you that? I had to find my mom's holovid logs." Varina laughed it off, stuffing her hands in her pockets and looking away.

Sensing that Varina had her own burden to deal with, Raven... decided to change the subject. "So, what else you been up to, besides bar-brawling?"

[Varina Ordo]

"Oh, yeah, I might need help with something." Varina scratched the back of her head. "So some guys from the Pyke Syndicate came asking for money. 1250 credits, I think. Anyways, I don't think I'm going to be able to pay it, so..."

[Raven Cadera]

Raven gave the younger woman a confused look. "... Who is the Pyke Syndicate? Why they asking you for creds?"

[Honor]

Praxton seemed to join Raven in this curiosity. Positioning himself as he did. At least, for the what and not the who.

[Varina Ordo]

"How do you not know the Pyke Syndicate?" Varina shook her head. "Whatever, who they are doesn't really matter. I hitched a ride with them to get here. I assumed that it was a favor from the Clone Wars but..."

[Raven Cadera]

"Hmm... so you kind of owe them, is what you're saying?" she chewed her lower lip, not sure how she felt about this.
