Re: Hold the Line [Day 9, Late Evening]
The Mandalorian didn't fall right away, but as she tried to give pursuit, the unending stream of bolts slowed her pace. She fell to one knee and tried to lean on her sword for support to get back up again, but instead fell forward, barely catching herself on her elbows to not completely collapse before she finally lost consciousness.

Re: Hold the Line [Day 9, Late Evening]
Panicking, looking between the downed Mandalorian and her fallen trooper, she pulled the helmet off. Tears streaming down her face she hyperventilated a moment before looking down the hall, the others were still there. This was too much for her. She had to go, she had to go now.
Leaving the blaster and her helmet behind she ran, she ran until she wouldn't be able to run anymore.

Watching her leave and taking note of her appearance, Jaxom stepped out from a side corridor. He'd gotten to know the Spaceport fairly well, but it had taken him time to get inside. Too much time. He was late again, hopefully not too late.

Lysa ran to raven and injected her with a stim pack "Hey! Ray Ray you don't get to quit on me yet! We haven't even gotten to dance together yet!" she rambled as she waited for the drugs to take effect.Raven Cadera wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 3:23 amThe Mandalorian didn't fall right away, but as she tried to give pursuit, the unending stream of bolts slowed her pace. Slowly, Manny struggled to his feet, although his face was pale and drawn.
He looked around, silent, his expression growing more concerned as he watched Lysa try to treat the fallen Raven.

Lysa look up relieved to see Manny getting up too "Jeez Magic man you look like you've been shot!" she said with a giggle before looking back down to Raven hoping the one stim would be enough but poised to inject another.

Re: Hold the Line [Day 9, Late Evening]
That made Manny chuckle. "Yeah. First time. I don't know that I like it."
Suddenly he frowned. He reached into his pocket, but stopped with a wince. A few ginger moments of maneuvering later, and he pulled out an egg. He gave it a little shake, bemused.
"It's cooked." Manny said.

Raven groaned as she the stim worked into her system, as there was still room enough in the bloodstream for a little bit more juice without it being deadly. The first reaction was to grip her sword again before she was even fully awake.
And then she realised there were no more enemies to fight. "Ughhh... Lysa? You're ok?" she asked, already trying to push herself up but forgot about her busted arm and kind of fell flat back down again.

Jaxom had helped Manny to his feet. "Who else is here? Who else needs help?"

"Ray Ray!" Lysa exclaimed before wrapping the fallen mandalorian in a hug smiling wide as she pulled back "Don't do that! You're not allowed to fall to blaster fire, thats my job." she joked with a bit of emotion in her voice the only indication of how worried she had been.

"Ow."
She patted Lysa on the back. "I'd say taking the heat is my job. My beskar'gam... my armor, I can withstand more than you can." With some help, she managed to get back up on her feet and with some pain she put her sword back in its sheath. "Blasted nerfherders, those repeating blasters really hurt."
Raven gave Varina a wave, happy to see that her Sister had joined her.
"... Where's Mand'alor?"

Lysa shrugged "he went down that hallway over there and then i heard a lot of screaming but nothing since then."

Well, Raven was glad she didn't fall down in combat in front of Mand'alor. That would've been really embarrassing. Still, she was quite surprised he had showed up at all.
"How you feeling, Lysa? They hit you pretty hard."
Seeing that Manny was up too, as well as the Nautolan woman, she gave a wave to them as she slowly moved over to pick up the carbine she had dropped.

"Hey, watch-buddy!" Manny greeted Jaxom. "I think this is all of us. Although I saw another Mandalorian go that way." Manny pointed. "He seemed like he could handle himself though."
He gave Raven a vague wave. "Hey, Raven. Glad to see you're okay, too. Getting shot sucks." He smiled, although it was a bit pained. "You really do this all the time?"

Where they saw Mandalorian leave the door once more opened suddenly. Stepping out he flourished his blade and then rested it on his shoulder. Looking at the work they did in here he nodded.
Behind him, before the door closed, those nearby would see the piled bodies in the hall. None had crossed his oath, though some few by the door showed that wasn't totally true. Time, after all, was on his side with the door Raven had gotten shut.

"You all really tore things up in here." he looked around. "But, I wouldn't suggest staying long."

Re: Hold the Line [Day 9, Late Evening]
"Well, not all the time," Raven flinched as she picked up her carbine, and ended up having to manage it with one arm as she slung it back over her uninjured shoulder. Now that adrenaline was dying down, she could feel that the blade of the knife was still dislodged somewhere between the plates of armor. That would have to wait for later.Manny Donos wrote: ↑Sat Aug 08, 2020 6:37 amHe gave Raven a vague wave. "Hey, Raven. Glad to see you're okay, too. Getting shot sucks." As Mand'alor rejoined them, she beat her left fist against her chestplate, over the heart, once in a silent greeting of respect. Right now, words were unnescessary to convey how she felt about him joining the battle.
"Yeah... I agree. Let's get out of here."

Re: Hold the Line [Day 9, Late Evening]
Varina stared at the littered corpses of the enemy. She had hoped this time, an ultimate battle, one that she had swayed the so-called leader of her people to join, would grant her some glory.
But all that lied in her was hollowness. Though the blood was visibly only on her blade, it felt to her as if it had trickled down into her hands, infested them, made her impure.
Why would that man only fight those he considered 'worthy?' Why did he even care? Why did her mother?
The young woman glanced over at Raven's wave. She gave a small wave of her own, though it was clearly fake; all that was on Varina's face was emptiness. She, after all, had seen two of her closest friends on this forsaken planet fall. What would have happened without her?
It required contemplation, something the vagabond didn't do too often. And so, she disappeared into the night, trusting nobody but her alone with these thoughts.

"What's been done here. What's being done up there. There's going to be a response to all of it." Jaxom picked up the blaster that had been left behind. "Kamda will need to prepare for that."

Manny nodded. "Like a big party? That sounds good. Once I heal up, I mean."
