[Dex]

Dex looked down, then up and a slight smile. Nodded, "Right, yea," she nodded more firmly this time. Looking up to Raven.

"Thanks, Raven," she said, more of a full smile.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess gave the woman Dex a smile, "You are a very real reason I am not dead, I'm sorry my clumsiness denied you your battle but you have my gratitude."

Her eyes turned to peer over Tranq's shoulder, eyes widening as she saw the crystals.

"There's more to battle than earning glory," Raven agreed. "Defending yourself and family is the core of the Resol'nare, and you already show quick thinking to act when there's danger. It will serve you well when you must defend our brothers and sisters."

Dex was given a solid pat on the back as well. "Let's see what this creature is made of up close..."

Meanwhile, cracking the hard case open Tranq was bestowed with a magical sight.. Crystals. Formed over a long life the Crab must have lived the sediment mixed with the organic matter inside and created a wholly unique crystal that was unlike those of a mundane variety.

It was that same feeling as he had gotten on Ilum. So long ago, it felt like a whole other lifetime. He reached in, wrapping his hand around the heart of it. Hearing that same sweet song as he had first heard over a decade ago.

That sweet song of Kyber in his ears, in his mind. That connection in the Force, forged through trial and challenge. His other hand rested on the carapace.

"We are one with the Force, the Force is with us, Crab." He whispered, pulling back and nodding his head.

"Thank you for all your help, Jyrvess. That shot wouldn't have been possible without your aid, and where to aim. I just trusted in you, in the galaxy, is all." He smiled, and then looked serious. "We need a team out here. To harvest as much as we can. The carapace can be made into armor, the meat harvested for rations. The resistance, your Mandalorians. They should all benefit from this kill. To honor it."

[Raven Cadera]

"No resource will go to waste," Raven agreed, nodding. And then she felt the sand itching in the nooks and crannies of her armor... which was not exactly easy to reach underneath the beskar and padding.

"... This sand really does get everywhere..." she said, wriggling some to try to get it away from the itchy areas.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"So...you are," Jyrvess says without thinking, her eyes resting on Tranq. She looks away down at the crab, "I am glad I was of use to you all in this, I must confess when you asked me to come I had reservations."

"I will notify my contacts in the Resistance and see about getting someone out here to help with this."

[Honor]

Dex had nodded with all the assurance, happy, but stubborn a bit so she didn't say anything. After all, the main attraction after that was what was inside. Of all the stones only one was of sufficient size and quality, usable for the very art Tranq knew it would be for.

Jyvress, as well, was not unaware of this crystals properties. Long had Kyber been theorized as a resource that could be used in other applications. This particular one was a mixture of organic and mineral. While it was not any known form of Kyber from the past the simple truth that it was likely able to effectively be used as Kyber was indisputable given her base of knowledge. How that would affect the use of this particular bit of Kyber.. even Jyvress was uncertain.

Raven looked at all the crystalized stuff, befuddled and puzzled, and she crossed her arms as she tried to make heads or tails of it.

"Uhhh... this is gonna be a dumb question, Jyvress, but," she jabbed a finger towards the dead crab, "that ain't normal for crabs, right?"

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"No...it's a kyber crystal...or well something close enough to it..." She looks back to Raven, "the core of a Jedi's lightsaber. I'm not a Jedi myself but I have studied the old legends. I would think the creature had eaten a lightsaber or something in the past but...it's different from the entries I have studied. Like it was grown in the creature. Is...part of the creature."

[Dex]

"What's a Jedi?" Dex asked the even dumber question, stepping forward. "Does it mean that the crystals are worth something big?"

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Worth a lot actually to the right people, but...I believe Tranq us the most fit to make use of it." She can't hide a little bit of awe, the librarian had worked around the Jedi and read the reports of their skills. She would have called alot of it exaggeration or just made up if it had not been verified.

"The Jedi were the defenders of the Republic, an ancient order of warrior-philosophers." She rubbed her cheek, "Your ancestors fought them as the only warriors worth challenging."

"And the Empire ruthlessly hunts them, to extinction I had thought."

Raven found it hard to think that something small and shiny would make up one of the deadliest weapons in the galaxy. How did a lightsaber even work? And how could even a crab grow crystals inside it?

"Surprising parallels to be drawn between the Mandalorians and the Jedi - warriors not defined by birth, species, or homeworld, but by the creed they follow. Both of them the strongest warriors this galaxy has ever seen." And now, the Jedi were broken and scattered, and the Mandalorians weren't well off either...

She looked at Tranq. "If you're going to make yourself a suitable weapon with this, I demand to see it when it's finished. I've never seen one of those fabled laser-swords before."

[Dex]

"Whoa, wait, he can just make it into a laser-sword!?" Dex asks excitedly.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"...well I mean yes," Jyrvess combs some sand out of hair, "Through...some process, unfortunately not everything is in books they let non-Jedi read."

"If you can or even want to make such a weapon Tranq," the awe returns to her voice a bit replaced by a great sadness, "No...I am not worthy to see such a weapon. Imperial Intelligence helped hunt your kind after the War...I am sure my service contributed to at least some of their deaths."

[Tranq Sayzin]

He looked to the trio, his hand clutched around the crystal. The tall Karkarodon felt a strange sense of peace around them. The thing slid into a pocket in his armor, as he smiled. "It'll be the heart of something, yes. I'll have to meditate on it. To know it. It's song is different that my first crystal. Well, not different. Maybe the same tune, just a different key." He chuckled, standing tall.

"You'll all see it when it's time."
