[D1, LM] Picking up Some Power Converters

[Jaxom Ursae]

It had been a busy, if fruitless, morning and Jax was ready to get some sleep. C77's charging station had been spiking, however, and the droid was cranky. Jaxom was determined to help someone today. So, here he was, looking for power converters.

[Manny Donos]

The shop was a bit of a mess. Parts were scattered here and there, many of them rusted, dented, or both. Some of them beeped, although it was hard to tell which ones; there were just a few beeps, coming here and there.

Head tilted curiously, Manny came walking in from the back, drawn by the sound of the opening door. "Oh. Hey!" He waved, smiling to the newcomer. "Welcome to The Resistance. What are you looking for?"

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Power converters." he shrugged. "My bartender is getting overloaded by her charging station. Power grid's been surging lately."

[Manny Donos]

"Oh yeah? No kidding." Manny said, his eyebrows going up. "Which bar? Or..." He frowned as a thought occurred. "Are you talking about one of those restaurants that's fancy enough to have a bar inside it?"

"How big of power converters are we talking here?" Manny held his hands a few inches apart, and then spread them wide, giving Jaxom a questioning look.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Korso's. No restaurant." He pulled up some information on his datapad and showed it to Manny. "Not too big. This is what she asked for."

[Manny Donos]

"Uh..." Manny rubbed his head awkwardly. "They don't look too big, do they? They're probably in here." He lead the way over to a shelf, which he pulled out. It was filled with junk, some of which looked somewhat like the image.

"Korso's!" Manny said, his expression brightening. "I've been there a few times. Tell me, do you ever have any... entertainment there?" With a one-handed flourish, he produced a sabaac card as if from nowhere (although probably his sleeve): the master of coins.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Sure." he nodded. "It's a quiet place, but Fuff performs regularly enough and we can always put someone else up."

"This looks like it might work." He held an old converter up. "C77 can probably modify it, if she needs to."

[Manny Donos]

"Fuff?" Manny frowned. "Does he do magic too?"

Manny peered at the old converter and then shrugged. "Okay, sounds good. Anything else I can get for you?" He raised an eyebrow. "Maybe... you have time to look around a little more?" The eyebrow waggled. It was clear Manny was trying to convey something.

[Jaxom Ursae]

"He sings." he explained. "I did want to look around a bit more. See if anything interesting catches the eye."

[Manny Donos]

Manny grinned. "Well, in that case, perhaps you're in the market for... watches!"

He pulled open his vest. Attached to the inner lining were perhaps a dozen watches, of various shapes and colors, none of them especially impressive.

"Only slightly pre-owned." Manny said. "And if you buy three, you get a fourth one free!"

[Munchfronta]

Manny grinned. "Well, in that case, perhaps you're in the market for... watches!"

He pulled open his vest. Attached to the inner lining were perhaps a dozen watches, of various shapes and colors, none of them especially impressive.

"Only slightly pre-owned." Manny said. "And if you buy three, you get a fourth one free!"

"Which"
A small dirty looking firgure mostly obscured by droid parts behind the counter notes
"Is a steal."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Why would I need four watches?" he scratched his head.

[Manny Donos]

Manny considered that a moment. "Well, it's cheaper that way." He frowned.

A few moments later, "Gifts!" Manny said, brightening noticeably. "Get them for your friends. For your significant other! Nothing says 'I love you' like two watches. You'd each have two that way."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Maybe...." he looked over the watches. "Tell me more. Which would you recommend?"

[Manny Donos]

"Uh..." Manny looked at the watches, then looked at Jaxom, eyes narrowing thoughtfully.

"The red one?" He suggested after a few seconds. He shrugged. "I mean, I don't know how they're different from each other. So you just want to get the coolest looking ones. I think the red one's coolest. Maybe..." Manny bit his lip, but then smiled. "Nah, I don't need it. You can have it if you want. But the blue one is pretty good too."

[Jaxom Ursae]

"Red is nice..." He gave a bit of a shrug. "I'm not sure I need one, but I'd be happy to send anyone who does your way."

[Manny Donos]

Manny shrugged. "Okay, sure. Let them know that they're cheap. But, eh..." He leaned a little closer, raising a hand to half cover his mouth. "Don't spread it around too much, huh? A deal this good might just be too good to be true, you know what I mean?"

He nodded. "I'll only tell those who could really use them. Or, I'll let you know if I think of a good opportunity for you."
