With the stress of the late shift having caused a return of some of the palpitations that had caused him to seek out Tossath not so long ago, Ters Tii decided it was past time to pick up his "prescription." Some brandy would go a long way to washing down the rigors of night court.

He headed down to the lower quarters and found himself sitting at the bar at Korso's, one talon raising to put in his order in his distinctive, echoing voice.

"Haidoral or Savareen?" Jaxom asked. C77 was charging.

Ters considered. Savareen's was the more famous of the two, but things that become commonplace are not special. "Haidoral, I think. Thank you." He glanced around the bar. "A friend of mine recommended this place as a good one where he liked to drink alone. I see that he was accurate about both quality and isolation."

"We're a bit out of the way." he nodded as he poured the drink. "Most people who come in here are looking for us, rather than 'just looking'. That's the way we like it. Welcome."

He set the brandy down in front of Ters.

Dross comes in and sits at a table near Ters. He gives a polite nod to Jaxom, and after a second, Ters.

Ters's face crinkled slightly, and he bowed his head in a nod toward the newcomer. "An excellent attitude. I appreciate that the light shows favored at other bars have been set aside. It is a cozy place. You have my compliments." He slid some credits across in payment--and a tip.

"Our lights are only bright when the power grid surges." he chuckled.

He stepped away to greet Dross. "Hey, good to see you. What can I get you?"

"Nice to be here." He looks around. "It's cozy." His tone implies he likes that. A change of pace is nice after all. "Well, you're bar, I'll leave it to your expertise." In general, Dross seems more relaxed than the night they met.

"Well, I've already got the brandy out." he shrugged, and poured a glass for Dross.

Ters sipped at his drink and signaled his appreciation to the two fellow-occupants of the bar. "That's good."

Dross takes a drink and gives an appreciative nod.

Jax poured some for himself and lifted his glass. "To the late shift, I guess."

Dross joins in the toast. "Well, at least we'll get to see the sun rise."

Ters liked the cut of that man's jib. "Well said," he said, and raised his glass as well.

"Was it a good night for you two?" he asked.

"About average. So, I can't complain."

"Not all that pleasant." Ters' expression darkened. "A ruling of mine was overturned and a young man shipped off-world for reasons that have yet to be made clear. Certainly the proper channels were not observed, so I do not even know who made the decision." He took a slug of brandy.

"That is unfortunate." he frowned. "I imagine that's happened before?"
