The "Big" Score (pregame)

[Manny Donos]

They'd done well that evening. A quick in and out, working together in perfect harmony. They'd gone in as safe repairmen, Manny doing his best repairman accent, Munchfronta actually having some idea how to work on a safe. Once the store owners were convinced, which they totally would have been, the two would have access to all the riches of Qwik n' Shop.

Once it turned out that they didn't actually have a safe, Manny just climbed in through the back window, and lowered what he could find out to Munchfronta.

"Alright!" Manny said, grinning and rubbing his hands together. "Time to see what we've got!"

[Munchfronta]

"Alright!" Manny said, grinning and rubbing his hands together. "Time to see what we've got!"

Munch grinss toothily as he reaches a clawed hand into their sack of loot (which has a credit symbol on the side so the two can keep track of it)
"I bet they had some real filthy lucre in their, real top shelf stuff."
Feeling around a bit more he finds something and triumphantly yanks out....a pack of gum
"Jackpot! We don't have any gum in the store."

[Manny Donos]

"What flavor?" Manny took the pack, frowning at it. "Pink. Huh. I guess that's a flavor." He set it on the counter.

Reaching in again, he found a locked box. "Hah, this cheap lock's no problem." He said confidently. "Just squeeze it in the right place..." With a pop, the lock snapped, revealing... nothing.

"Uh... one box, I guess." Manny tried to shut it, but with the lock snapped, the lid wouldn't shut properly.

[Munchfronta]

"What flavor?" Manny took the pack, frowning at it. "Pink. Huh. I guess that's a flavor." He set it on the counter.

Reaching in again, he found a locked box. "Hah, this cheap lock's no problem." He said confidently. "Just squeeze it in the right place..." With a pop, the lock snapped, revealing... nothing.

"Uh... one box, I guess." Manny tried to shut it, but with the lock snapped, the lid wouldn't shut properly.

"No no, you're borking it, you gotta you know, jiggle it."
Munch mimes a really unhelpful motion towards the box

"For now we'll just put it in the box pile. Miss Knivsful at the market pays good money for boxes for her veggies, this box might look like junk but to you or I, it's solid gold."
With a flourish Munch snatches another goody out of the bag
"Oh, it's the key to the box....keys are useful though."

[Manny Donos]

"Huh..." Manny's face look up. "Maybe you can, like, I don't know, put some stuff on it that olds it up? Makes it older, I mean. Then we can sell it as an antique key." He raised his hands, gesturing. "And then we can tell people that it's a key to a box filled with treasure! Yeah!" He nodded enthusiastically. "Definitely going in the good pile."

Reaching in again, Manny pulled out a miniature gravball. "Oh yeah, I'm keeping this." He turned suddenly, tossing the ball towards a donut-shaped droid part. "Antilles for three!" Rolant Antilles was the star player for the Kamda Manka-Cats, of course. The ball bounced off the droid part, slowly rolling back to the criminal pair.

[Munchfronta]

"Huh..." Manny's face look up. "Maybe you can, like, I don't know, put some stuff on it that olds it up? Makes it older, I mean. Then we can sell it as an antique key." He raised his hands, gesturing. "And then we can tell people that it's a key to a box filled with treasure! Yeah!" He nodded enthusiastically. "Definitely going in the good pile."

Reaching in again, Manny pulled out a miniature gravball. "Oh yeah, I'm keeping this." He turned suddenly, tossing the ball towards a donut-shaped droid part. "Antilles for three!" Rolant Antilles was the star player for the Kamda Manka-Cats, of course. The ball bounced off the droid part, slowly rolling back to the criminal pair.

"The old 'old key' trick....it worked on old Holdo. 'Course, then he tried to shoot us after, but he didn't hit us and that's what matters."
Eyeing the gravball
"Hey man, I wouldn't be going all hot for Antilles. I heard down at the Cantine he was a surety for a triple against the Llasa underminers last week, so I put a hundred credits on him. And then you know, we get to the game, he gets a double and is about to score right on the siren...and he passes! Who does that?!?!"

High pitched grumbling noises
"Fleabag has no respect for working men like us."

[Manny Donos]

Manny shook his head stubbornly. "No way. Antilles for life!" Of course, Munchfronta would probably remember that Manny was always declaring whoever was leading the Manka-Cats for life.

Shaking his head again, Manny sighed. "But I don't know. Maybe... do you ever feel like the scores aren't quite as big as they used to be? I mean, don't get me wrong, we got some good stuff." He picked up the mini gravball. "But it's a lot of work. And I think these cost, like, three credits."

[Munchfronta]

Manny shook his head stubbornly. "No way. Antilles for life!" Of course, Munchfronta would probably remember that Manny was always declaring whoever was leading the Manka-Cats for life.

Shaking his head again, Manny sighed. "But I don't know. Maybe... do you ever feel like the scores aren't quite as big as they used to be? I mean, don't get me wrong, we got some good stuff." He picked up the mini gravball. "But it's a lot of work. And I think these cost, like, three credits."

"It ain't about the money......we did make rent right?"
After confirming they would be able to pay their shop fees
"So yeah, if you got the cash for food and housing and clothes and the good stuff in life, then it ain't about the money. We're free baby, people envy folks like us, those guys out there are just bantha following one another in a great big line to nowhere. Us? We're special, we're like...you know, freedom fighters."

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah... I guess..." Manny shrugged. "We do okay. We've got our own place, I guess."

He leaned back against the counter. "But I've got big dreams! Maybe we could be big time if we went somewhere else. Coruscant, or Correlia, or Corseccio, or something." A net search for Corseccio would return zero results.

[Munchfronta]

"Yeah... I guess..." Manny shrugged. "We do okay. We've got our own place, I guess."

He leaned back against the counter. "But I've got big dreams! Maybe we could be big time if we went somewhere else. Coruscant, or Correlia, or Corseccio, or something." A net search for Corseccio would return zero results.

"Why go to the C planets when you can go to the A planets? We could go to Alderaan and live like kings forever."
A frown at their surroundings
"Of course we'd have to leave the shop, and find money for a travel ticket, it would be pretty expensive Manny."

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah, I know." Manny's shoulders slumped. "And I don't really wanna leave the shop. We've got so many good memories here! Selling stuff, and fixing stuff, and fencing stuff..." Manny frowned. That was all he could think of. "And hanging out, I guess."

He tilted his head thoughtfully. "Kings, huh, on Alderaan? What kind of kings?"

[Munchfronta]

"Yeah, I know." Manny's shoulders slumped. "And I don't really wanna leave the shop. We've got so many good memories here! Selling stuff, and fixing stuff, and fencing stuff..." Manny frowned. That was all he could think of. "And hanging out, I guess."

He tilted his head thoughtfully. "Kings, huh, on Alderaan? What kind of kings?"

"Kings of finance, what we are here but with dresses and flowers and stuff; you know, Alderaan things."
Much had once robbed an Alderaani and there had indeed been flowers.

"'Course we don't need to move to have that here, we could have flowers if we wanted."

[Manny Donos]

"Dresses? Would we have to?" Manny frowned. "What's wrong with my clothes?" He spread his arms. "Oh, hang on, there's still a tag on these pants." Reaching down, he tore it off.

"Flowers are alright I guess." He gestured up to a portion of the way. "What about a big Kamda Manka Cats poster up there? We could get some Manka Cats merchandise, too." Manny grinned. "I promise I won't just take all of it this time."

[Munchfronta]

"Dresses? Would we have to?" Manny frowned. "What's wrong with my clothes?" He spread his arms. "Oh, hang on, there's still a tag on these pants." Reaching down, he tore it off.

"Flowers are alright I guess." He gestured up to a portion of the way. "What about a big Kamda Manka Cats poster up there? We could get some Manka Cats merchandise, too." Manny grinned. "I promise I won't just take all of it this time."

"Uh huh, Manny you say that every time, every time! You're a Manka Cats man to the bone. And you know, being a Chadra-Fan, it don't sit right supporting cats, not at all."

[Manny Donos]

"Hey, don't worry!" Manny said, grinning. "You know if there's trouble, I'd back you up. Doesn't matter if it's a big time ganster, or a Manka Cat... or one of the Manka Cats."

He chuckled. "Although man, if I had to get your back against Rolant Antilles, and I made him sprain his wrist or something..." Manny shook his head.

[Munchfronta]

"Hey, don't worry!" Manny said, grinning. "You know if there's trouble, I'd back you up. Doesn't matter if it's a big time ganster, or a Manka Cat... or one of the Manka Cats."

He chuckled. "Although man, if I had to get your back against Rolant Antilles, and I made him sprain his wrist or something..." Manny shook his head.

"I think he'd sprain his fist on my face, repeatedly. I don't wanna throw down with someone like that, I respect my body."

[Manny Donos]

"Well, let just hope it doesn't come to that!" Manny said, still chuckling.

He gave the sack a hopeful glance. "Anything else in there?"
