She'd been kicked out of the gala eventually but was already out and since she was out she didn't want to go home just yet. She wandered into Lux not really knowing where else to go and knew she could find some stuff here that might help her break a bit of her current state of mind.

Lysa might indeed find that on the stage. As the woman walked in, in what was pretty good timing, Leah had just begun her night shift after a wonderfully terrifying gala. The dress had been carefully returned to Vexs office, and instead she was back in her tight fitting skimpy golden clothes. Her movements on the stage were slow, the lights low and she her a smile on her face as she performed.

She saw Leah dancing and debated leaving but was torn. She hadn't talked to her in a few days and didn't know how to explain it if she was asked.

In the end she ordered a drink and sat watching Leah dance her hear was less in it than normal but she was here, better than being alone.

Leah noticed Lysa as she sat down, giving her a wink and a smile but still continued her performance. It was a few hours until she was freed, swapping with another dancer and making her way through the backstage until she passed round tothe front again. Keeping her jacket over her shoulders so that she wouldn't get as much attention. She paused, looking for the table that Lysa was at, before heading towards her with the same warm smile she always had.

"Hey there rainbow."

Lysa gave Leah a small smile "Hey.....you looked good up there. As usual." she said with a small chuckle that thinned out into a somewhat awkward pause to her at least which she covered with a drink and then cleared her throat "So how is tonight going? I saw you at the Gala earlier."

"Thanks, you look lovely as always yourself" Leah said with a nod, taking a seat near Lysa "the gala was fun. Did you see that dress I was in though? Vex sorted it for me, I swear it cost more than I'd earn in a month. So pretty, I wish I could keep it. Not that I'd have anywhere to wear it..."

"The dress was ok, the person in it is what made it beautiful." She said looking between her drink and Leah. She was much more self conscious than usual which made her delivery a tad more awkward. What was she even doing here.

"And I'm sure if you had it you could talk your way into a fancy party or something. I doubt they'd turn you away." She idlely looked into her drink and stirred it as she spoke.

Leah leaned forward, placing a soft hand on top of Lysas.

"What's wrong darling?" she asked quietly, concern in her eyes.

Lysa shook her head and a faltering smile rteached her lips the concern was appreciated but it also hurt, maybe not hurt but it scared her a bit. Caring led to connections and connections were dangerous things.

"It's...nothing Leah. You don't need to get bogged down in my shit." she said softly barely audible above the music of the club.

"It's not being bogged down to care for a friend Lysa" Leah gave the girls hand a gentle squeeze, smiling at her "I won't force you, but if you want someone to talk to you have me, never forget that ok?"

Lysa nodded but frowned a little "Leah....I'm not....good for people. They either think I'm fun all the time and get disappointed when they realize the party stops or they think it's just an act and get annoyed when I do crazy shit all the time. It...I...trusting is hard. carefree, fun,, casual that's easy but....I like you Leah I like spending time with you but....I just don't want to get used to you and you not be there anymore." Lysa didn't know why the words were coming out, this isn't what she wanted, not here, maybe not anywhere. She was letting Leah in and that was terrifying.

"Oh Lysa..." Leah pulled the girl closer, wrapping her arms round the woman "I understand. Really, I do. Nobody is happy all the time, and I get that people...vanish. I'm not planning to go anywhere, I promise. I really can't, I still owe Vex too much money to vanish and after what happened to my parents I wouldn't even try to run away. So don't worry ok? We'll be friends, and hanging out lots. I know we will."

Lysa allows herself to be pulled in and is quiet for a long while nodding to Leah's explanation but then a long pause and she shakes her head again "You dont get it Leah I like you. Not like I like Manny hes a good guy and a good friend but....Leah I'm used to people leaving, that part doesn't bother me anymore but..its scarier...when I care about them, like I care about you."

Oh. Oohhhh.

Leah closed her eyes, holding the woman gently.

"You're special to me too Lysa. I mean that. I do care about you, I just didn't expect...that. Please don't take this the wrong way, but I'm not looking for a relationship or anything like that right now. I'm pretty sure Vex would try to kill anyone that tried that" she gave a soft chuckle "I'm all wound up in her schemes now."

Lysa barked out a short laugh "If you think I'm looking for a girlfriend you haven't been paying attention Leah." She pulled back a bit and looked at the Twi'lek woman, her eyes wet but no tears were falling "I dont think i function well in a real relationship doesn't mean I don't find some people more special than others. I don't want to own you and damn well can't handle being told what to do. Just, wanted you to know you're special to me."

She paused biting her lip "don't worry i won't be like this all the time teary eyed and mushy I'll be back to my old self in a day or two."

Thank goodness, that could have been awkward...

Leah smiled, placing a hand on Lysas cheek gently and nodding.

"Alright, I understand. Although I will say smile, because you have a pretty smile. Just know whenever you need someone to talk to, you can come find me ok? I'm here for you, no matter what."

Lysa nodded wiping at her eyes briefly before hugging Leah and giving her a kiss on the cheek "Thanks Leah. Sorry I'm such a mess." she said quietly.

Leah pulled the girl into another hug, smiling.

"Never feel the need to apologize. I'm fine, you're fine, it's all good sweetie" she kissed the girl on the nose "see? All fine!"
