End of an Evening (D2 LE)

[Leah kuso]

The evening was winding down, which means the first of the night people were arriving. The worst crowd generally, Leah was thankful to only need to deal with them for a short amount of time. Rather than being on stage though, as there was quite a few options, she was serving drinks while still in her very revealing attire. It didn't stop the comments or wandering hands, but she would grin and bear it.

She didn't really have a choice after all.

Upscale places weren't usually where the Karkarodon found himself. But places like these were usually hives of scum and villainy. Classy, upscale villainy, but villainy all the same.

He looked like trillions of other offworlders. Not necessarily down on his luck, but certainly not dressed up for the occasion.

The tall Seeker made his way to a booth, his intimidating stature surenl to give a wide berth around him.

He did indeed intimidate many. A few of the girls had managed to make themselves busy elsewhere, and it was lucky that Leah noticed someone sitting alone without a drink or he might get nothing the whole time!

"Can I get you anything?" The pretty Twi'lek said as she approached the table. Dressed in a very small black top and skirt, there was a lot of blue skin on display. She had a warm and welcoming smile on her face.

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Corellian Brandy. Please." He looked up to her as she approached the booth. Idly, his thoughts wandered. Did she choose to dress as such, like Master Secula did. Or was this decides by her employers, as he had heard how many dictated how her people dressed.

He matched her smile with his own, though it may have been a little unsettling. Gleaming, too sharp teeth caught the dim light of the club.

[Leah kuso]

"Corellian huh? A traveller?" Leah looked at the man curiously "hope you enjoy your time here. Let me grab your drink for you. Do you want a tab or just pay now?"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"I've done a little traveling." Real easy to see the galaxy when you're a child fighting in a war, and on the run. He kept his focus on her face, tilting his head slightly as he regarded her. "I may have another after. I guess a tab will be a good idea." Tranq nodded. "Thank you."

[Leah kuso]

"One tab then! Be back in a moment sweetie" Leah gave the man a wink and a smile, going to the bar to get the drinks and inform the bartender of the tab. She came back after a short while with the drink.

"Here you go! Enjoy" she smiled at him "what brings you to this lovely little club?"

[Tranq Sayzin]

Even though he knew that was likely part of serving to drum up tips, he was caught off guard by the wink. Those hunters eyes loomed over the club, just taking in the sights, not that there was much with the evening beginning to get started.

"Just felt like coming out. Heard about the place, decided to see for myself." A large, webbed hand took the drink, holding it for a moment. "Though I think I look a bit out of place compared to your typical club goers." He chuckled, his voice deep and resonant, though he had to speak up over the music.

"What brings you to working here?"

[Leah kuso]

"Unless you're only interested in men and have an allergy to alcohol, I'd say you're ok. It's always nice to meet new people" Leah said with a smile "as for me? What can I say, the place is a delight and I enjoy working here. Money is money too, right?" she laughed "the names Leah."

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Credits grabbed where one can makes sense. And you're right, I suppose I was putting too much stock in comparing myself to the other patrons." He laughed with her, keeping his hand on the glass of brandy. "Tranq. It's nice to meet you, Leah. I wasn't thinking I'd be doing much meeting tonight, and this has been a surprise. Pretty welcome one, too."

[Leah kuso]

"Lovely to meet you too Tranq. I'm glad to make you feel welcome! I always prefer to see a smiling face drinking than a sorrowful drowning."

She peered around, everyone else seemed to be covered for now so she could make this guest feel more welcome. Would be best for business after all! She slid into the booth opposite him.

"So traveler, what brings you to this lovely portion of the galaxy?"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"I don't have time for sorrow." He idly mentioned before realizing she had slipped into the booth. Sitting up slightly straighter, he drank for a moment before answering. "Partly for business. I travel because there's always quarry on the move. Heard rumor of a chance to bring some justice where needed, and Kamda seemed a good place to put down for a bit."

And something is calling to me... something else. The Force wills it...

"So far have a pretty good lead on some work. We'll see how it turns up. I don't plan on leaving for a bit. Maybe shouldn't be so scarce, spend time outside of the wilderness." The Karkarodon chuckled, then sighed. "Not a lot of swimming though. Lakes, sure. No vast oceans. Almost feels claustrophobic."

[Leah kuso]

"You some kind of bounty hunter then? Bringing justice to the galaxy?" Leah leans on her hand, listening to the man "and now you're looking for someone on this little slice of the world huh. Hate to tell you sweetie, but if you're looking for justice you might struggle to find much of it here. The law turns a blind eye a lot of the time."

She then chuckled, adding "ah, water. Yeah I can't imagine you're enjoying the climate here. I quite like it, it's almost always warm and even the rainy days aren't too bad. I can enjoy the sun on my blue skin" she raised an arm as if making a point of it "there are some areas of rivers like you said though. How much water do you need?"

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Then I guess I'm in the right place. If the Law can't provide, then the Galaxy sends someone that can." He grinned as he spoke. His eyes followed her showcasing of the skin of her arm, then pondered.

"Not much. It's not that I need it so much as I'd want to feel the water against my scales as I swim. If you know any good spots?"

[Leah kuso]

"Maybe it was fate then, we have a situation here" Leah said, her eyes looking around before peeking back at the man "although I can't say much here."

She paused, thinking, before adding "Rumdera has some I heard but it's super dangerous. There may be some rivers further out in Dalkirk Karolrini as well."

[Tranq Sayzin]

"Danger isn't always an issue," He laughed, the too-sharp teeth seemed to enunciate his laugh in a dark way. Then, Tranq turned serious, listening intently to her words. Or rather, what she wasn't saying. "We should find one of those rivers, then. Get away from this place, so you can let me know about the situation?" Direct, to the point. That inner desire to right wrongs burning just beneath the skin.

[Leah kuso]

"That sounds nice" Leah nodded, giving the man a soft smile and a relieved look, as if he'd taken a weight off her shoulders with his words "it might be worth renting a speeder or something, but I don't have any credits to my name."

[Tranq Sayzin]

"I can handle that for us." He had kept a decent purse from his last job, but he wasn't going to shell out the details on that just yet. There was something in the way her smile crossed her lips that made him want to help her, to find out more about this situation.

[Leah kuso]

"Are you sure? I don't want to take advantage of you Tranq" Leah said, placing a hand on his "nor get in the way of your important job."

[Tranq Sayzin]

"I'm sure. It's certainly not taking advantage of my time." His scales were cool to the touch, his blood cold, clearly getting his warmth from the environment, rather than being warm blooded. The act of her hand touching his was a surprise, catching him off guard. "Besides, what're friends for, right?"
