[Manny Donos]

To try to meet with Vex, Manny was dressed in his nicest clothing. Unfortunately, it almost certainly wasn't nice enough. He wore red jacket, loosely open in front, revealing a black turtleneck. His leggings were also black, except for the slightly reflective silver stripe going up the side.

Well, it was all about attitude anyway, right? At least he knew well enough to leave his sequined top hat at home.

He strolled in the front, arms swinging casually as he headed towards the back...

Well, at least Manny looked better than the street kid Varina. "Why do you wear turtlenecks?" she asked, "Maybe that's why you don't have..." She trailed off, letting him finish the sentence.

Suits all around the club touched their ear as Manny came walking in, eyes looking over in his direction. However, no one barred his passage yet and he knew right how to get to the stairs toward the back that brought him up to the second level. Shifting crowds of people made it a difficult task always in the dark room with different colors flashing from the stage.

Loud music drowning out most pleasant conversation.

[Manny Donos]

"What?" Manny called over the sound of the music. "What's wrong with turtlenecks? Aren't they cool?" He started to pose, thought better of it, and shook his head.

He led the way, as usual, towards the stairs at the back. "So be cool, okay?" He half-shouted. "Vex is the real deal. So... don't try to stab her or anything." Mandalorians had a bit of a reputation.

[Varina Ordo]

"I won't try to stab her!" Varina said, "These are my nicest pants!" She winked at him. It was good to keep up the tough girl look, after all.

Behind him, she put her voice into a falsetto pitch. "Nice turtleneck!" She then went back to normal.

[Manny Donos]

Manny shot a suspicious look over his shoulder, and then kept walking. "I knew I should have worn the shiny one..." He muttered.

[Mallory]

At the door by Vex's personal suite and office, a woman dressed professionally stepped up and barred the way.

"Name?" she asked, looking at Manny then Varina.

[Manny Donos]

Manny blinked, then smiled. "Oh, you mean Varina. Yeah, this is Varina." He gestured at the Mando girl.

After a moment, he added: "She's a Mandalorian." Waggling his eyebrows to emphasize the point.

[Varina Ordo]

Why are you doing that? she mouthed after he started waggling his eyebrows. She then looked back to attention to the nice lady. "Yup, that's me. Varina Ordo."

[Mallory]

Mallory looked at Varina, studied her, and then back to Manny. "Here to see Vex?" she asked, flatly.

[Manny Donos]

"Yep." Manny said smiling. "I mean, a Mandalorian. She's got a friend, too. Two Mandalorians. Vex has got to have something for the two of them, right?"

He sounded pretty sure.

[Varina Ordo]

"I can pass along the details if she's needed. We're partners," she said, even if Raven kind of was the boss. Raven was just so cool!

[Mallory]

"Arms up then," she said, looking to Varina. "Manny first, then you."

[Manny Donos]

With a sigh, Manny raised his arms. "Do we really have to do this every time? I mean, I've learned. It's just, sometimes it's hard to remember that I've got a concealable blaster on me. It's concealable!"

He had nothing but his ID, a few credits, a sabaac deck, and an egg.

[Varina Ordo]

"It's good to keep track of your own weapons." That was the one responsible thing Varina did on a regular basis. She had her comlink, stim pouch, and molecular knife. She wasn't going to say anything but there were also sap gloves and a garrote on her body.

[Manny Donos]

"I mean, it's REALLY concealable." Manny said, nodding firmly. "One time I got home, stripped down, stepped into the refresher, and it came falling down. It got stuck in the drain! But then, our drain is always getting stuck anyway. Munchfronta sheds. You get used to it."

[Varina Ordo]

How could this man be giving a blaster and not her? Blaster laws made no sense. "What's a Munchafront? Your womp rat or something?"

[Manny Donos]

"That's my BRO!" Manny said. "We're best buds. And he's a Chadra Fan."

He frowned suddenly. "Anyway, be cool. Don't embarrass me in front of..." He jerked his head towards Mallory, making a face as he did.

[Varina Ordo]

"Okay, so he's a fan of Chadra, which I don't know about," Varina processed out loud, "So he's like a wookiee or something?"

[Mallory]

While the two spoke, Mallory made a thorough check of Manny, and seeing as she didn't quite find anything dangerous from the man. Let alone the supposed concealable blaster. However, she did take his Sabacc deck. Finished with him she indicates over her shoulder with a sharp point of her thumb.

Moving to Varina she began the search, removing the basics, knife and comlink, and pulled out the wire and held it up high in front of Varina. Looking past it toward the girl with a raised brow.
