"No worries. I'm not in the habit of trying to insult folks, but misunderstandings happen," he says with a nod. "Just trying to say that structural failure comes to us all. Some quicker than others. As an Arkanian, I'll probably outlive quite a few of the folks I've gotten to know. I'm already 50 years old and there's a good chance that someday I'll become friends with people that haven't even been born yet and they still may die of old age before me. You're probably going to have the same concern with time, working with people that haven't been born yet and then having the misfortune of watching them pass of old age. Do you know when you were first brought online?"

"Not exactly, but even among droids, you'd be young with a lot of time in front of you," he says with a nod. "The first medical droid I ever worked with had been in operation for 40 years at that point. It's probably still operating even now 30 years later."

"That's unfortunate. That's something that I don't think should be done outside of protecting a droid from complete system failure. It's probably done too often, when a droid tech could probably just as easily go into the memory and perform diagnostics, updates and repairs."
