Two magicians one room (D4 EA Leahs apt.)

[Leah kuso]

It had been a weird two weeks. Leah had been working, searching for something where the only thing she had to go off was gut feelings...oh and she had gained a roommate. Which in an apartment as small as hers was a challenge.

For now though she was just waking up in the morning...well, afternoon, and stretched. Not noticing if she accidentally hit someone or not...

[Manny Donos]

Fortunately, Manny was growing wiser with familiarity. He'd been awake for a while, and managed to see the stretch coming. He tilted his head, letting her closest limb glance off the side of his face, instead. Hah, I'm getting used to this.

He grinned. "Hey, good morning. Or whatever. You sleep well? Ready for breakfast, or whatever?"

[Leah kuso]

"Is it more eggs?" Leah sleepily asked, wiping her eyes before opening them properly and looking up at Manny from her comfy cramped bed "either way yes please. And some caf if we've got any left."

[Manny Donos]

"Uh... yeah..." Manny grinned sheepishly. "What can I say? I buy them in bulk. Caf..." He frowned. "I'll see what I can do." For his part, he was still dressed in what he'd slept in, boxers and a Kamda City Manka Cats jersey.

Grunting, he unfolded himself from his corner of the bed, and stepped over the edge of his backpack (it didn't fit all the way under the bed). Then, grunting again, he managed to open the door enough to squeeze through. "I think the refresher's free." He glanced back through the door, even as he cracked eggs into a bowl. "But I swear, that Miralian waits until I'm headed there with my towel..."

[Leah kuso]

"He likely does. Just tell him Vex needs you untouched" Leah murmured sleepily as she sat up, stretching "I'll go shower now then while you make breakfast. That ok?"

[Manny Donos]

"Huh. That works?" Manny grinned at her. "I'll remember that."

"Sounds good to me! Then I'll shower after." He squeezed in as tight as possible to the counter. It was probably enough to let Leah squeeze by; the kitchen really just wasn't made for two people.

[Leah kuso]

"Got it. Be back in 15" Leah said as she slipped out of bed, wrapping her towel round her nearly-naked body before slipping past Manny and out of the door to shower. Leaving Manny to prepare breakfast, as he always did.

[Manny Donos]

Manny glanced after Leah as she walked by. Smiling and shaking his head, he focused on breakfast.

Eggs were scrambled. A few mushrooms were thrown in; those were a Twi'lek thing, Manny understood. Kaf... some desperate scraping from the bottom of the bag managed to get enough to make a small pot. Manny sighed down at his half-cup. Well, it would have to do. Guess one of them would have to pick up some more later.

Leah returned a short time later wrapped in her towel and carrying her clothes. She paused, taking a moment to enjoy the smell of food and caf.

"Has anyone told you that you're amazing recently? I'm starving just from smelling breakfast" she laughed "shower is free, use it before the couple down the hall wake up and have their hour long shower scene."

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah." Manny said modestly. "But that doesn't mean I don't like hearing it again." He flashed her a quick grin as he loaded up a plate, offering it to her.

He grabbed a towel, and... "Wait." He turned to face Leah, his nose wrinkling. "Do you mean they're, like, using the shower for doin' it?"

[Leah kuso]

"Do you want the honest answer that might make you miss out on the shower, or would you prefer to be blissfully ignorant while rushing to get in the shower as soon as possible?" Leah asked, one hand keeping her towel on and the other accepting the plate.

[Manny Donos]

Manny reddened, just a little bit. "Yeah, maybe I'd better grab that shower now, huh?" He quickly transferred the rest of the eggs to a second plate, and then, still carrying the towel, went off towards the shower.

His flush did deepen just a little as he squeezed past the towel-clad Leah with a muttered "excuse me". Living with a girl roommate in this close proximity was sometimes a little confusing, Manny mused.

Leah managed to resist a laugh at that, pressing against the side to allow Manny to squeeze past without brushing against her towel-covered body too much.

"Enjoy!"

She sat down on her bed, happily eating the food. Manny was amusing, but he was also a great chef. At least with eggs he was cracking! By the time Manny came back Leah had finished and was sipping her caf, although she was still just in her towel.

[Manny Donos]

It was only about ten minutes later that Manny came back, his towel wrapped around his waist, and his hair all frizzy.

He grinned at her from the bedroom doorway, holding plate and caf. "I just barely beat 'em. They were waiting at the door when I came out." He tilted his head thoughtfully. "How did I not realize? They're always doing that." He chuckled, shaking his head.

[Leah kuso]

"For a magician you're not always that perceptive" Leah said with a smile "but you're a great chef and full of eggs, so I like ya!"

She put the plate down, moving to collect her clothes.

"What's your plan for the day?"

[Manny Donos]

"Yeah? I'll take it." Manny grinned. "And you're a pretty great assistant. Hey, maybe you can help me spot things I miss, huh?" For instance, that she was likely about to be getting changed.

It was a good thing Manny was ambidextrous; he was somehow managing to hold his plate, eat, and drink caf all at once. "Shooting practice. With some Mandorians! Mandalorians, right? And then this shindig in the even sounds fun to crash." He grinned. "You?"

[Leah kuso]

"You're shooting with some Mandalorians? Don't get yourself shot, I can't imagine they're easily entertained by magic. As for me, the usual. Work stuff. Vex wants me to go to this gala, so I'm gonna be all glammed up. By the Manny, my next trick is going to be making this towel disappear" she let him work out the hint as she loosened her towel ready to drop it.

[Manny Donos]

Manny grinned. "Actually, one of them does. Huh. Maybe I could saw the two of them in half... or maybe her and Lysa."

"Oh. Oh." Manny's eyes widened, and then he smiled. "That's a good trick, that one. Yeah, uh... I'll just... look this way."

He turned away... although noticeably slowly, his brown eyes lingering.

Leah laughed, turning away and letting her towel drop. A peeking Manny would see a lithe blue body with a nice rear at least, as she dressed.

"I'm being replaced by Mandalorians. I think that might be a low point in my life."

[Manny Donos]

"Woo, boy." Manny murmured. The tight living arrangements certainly had an upside... he adjusted his towel slightly.

"Replaced? Yeah, right." Manny chuckled. He set his finished plate in the sink, and then sat on the edge of the bed; something he could to without hardly moving. The tight living arrangements also had a downside. "One of them likes magic, and I'd bet their legs are roughly the same color. You've got stage presence! The thing with your lekku, and the thing with your hands..." Manny chuckled. "I wouldn't replace you, not so long as you wanna keep doing it."
