Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
With the evening just coming into full swing the patrons of Favna are boisterous and the music is pleasant to the ear. Some of the staff make their rounds and chat with the regulars. What truly separates this cantina from the others is the community. Separation between staff, the few their are, and customers is blurred at best and everyone in here plays their roll in maintaining the peace.
At a booth toward the central part of the room sits an aging man with someone pretty on either side, each getting his attention in conversation in equal share. One a human male with long hair, muscles to draw the eye. Another a mirialan girl with a bob that you could lose yourself in. Each laughed at the tale that he whispered in their ear.
Opposite him was an open space, one just recently vacated by a person he turned away because they didn't have what he needed. What he needed was some folks for a job he needed running but his search was distracted at best and completely fruitless at worst.

Fuff's survival strategy was not to be found at the same hour at the same place too often, while not jeopardising his ability to earn his living. So he alternated between bars he'd sing at, seemingly at random. Tonight, it was Favna.
He was after the first - quite ambient - round of numbers when he saw the spot clearing. Sensing an opportunity, he approached the accompanied man, batting his tail seemingly casually, a relaxed smile under his whiskers.
"It feels like I could find something here that may be worth my time?" He asked semi-cheekily, after a playful wink at the Mirialan.

Jyvress's search for legitimate work had gone poorly. While her skills made her valuable...the typical jobs were not the sort that 'paid credits under the table.' So she finally steeled her resolve and started poking around among those that would always deal under the table. A few rumors had caught her attention and so she followed up.
After setting at the bar watching for a few moments she mad her way toward the table, pausing as the....lounge singer of all people made his way to the table first. The librarian was left standing awkwardly for a moment.

Re: Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
There were only so many evenings that regulars at the bar would want to see a magic show. And so Manny was having the night off. He sat at the counter, drinking from a mug and shuffling his sabaac deck, slowly turning his stool around.
He stopped as he spotted the new arrivals. The Farghul wasn't so unusual, except in that Manny was pretty sure he hadn't seen him before. The nervous looking human, though, she stood out a bit.
"Huh." Manny said aloud, still staring.

The mirialan woman laughed, looked to the man she was sitting with who shrugged. Slipping away from him she slipped up against Fuff and spoke softly toward his ear, "Jarvis here has such good stories," she said, with a playful tone, "but how are your stories? Are they good too?"
Jarvis, on the other hand, looked toward the hovering woman by him and the man watching her. With a knowing smirk he gave a wave with his hand for them to approach closer and watched with a grin, expecting them to come merely because he asked.

Jyvress caught the body language, and for now meekly complied. She eyed the other...rather shifty looking man watching her from behind. "Good evening, may I join you?" She says quietly. Her eyes flick over to the more intimate pair before fully settling on Jarvis.
She remains standing for now, waiting for his response.

"The best, but they excite most when the mood is right." He purred, and tickled the Mirialan's back with the tip of his tail, but since they were in the open and apparently soon to do business, he did nothing more, just returned the primate female's look with some curiosity. "Hello. The more the merrier."

Manny's eyebrows went up at the gesture. "Who, me?" He turned his head, but, well, there didn't seem to be anyone behind him.
And so, rising from his seat, he strolled casually over. "Hey, how's it going?" He gave a little wave with one hand, giving each a nod; woman, cat, and crime group alike.

Fuff is lead by a delicate hand to sit near Jarvis where she curls up beside him and strokes his shoulder lightly, watching him as the others continued business. Jarvis, with his hand on the other human mans thigh sat beside him looked at the other two guests he invited over, "Please! Please! Take a seat, take a seat, what brings you all here this evening I wonder? A spot of relaxation," he said with a smirk to the man at his side. "Or perhaps, a riveting tale? Because if you're in the mood for a tale I have one that's.."
A knowing smirk, "Lucrative."

Manny shrugged, taking a seat. "Well, I just came here for a drink, maybe to hang out a bit. But if you're talking lucrative, hey, that's my middle name."
After a moment, he coughed. "It's not, actually." He said. "But you know what I mean."

Re: Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
Jyvress found herself stuck between the cat on one side and the con on another. "I'm looking for a little work, but a story is fine." She smirked a little, "And am something of a captive audience at the moment." Her tone was light as the librarian began to relax.
Re: Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
"Half of good tales have a treasure chest at the end of them." Fuff made himself comfy in the present situation, his tail brushing at the tip of the Mirialan's shoulder.
"Having a middle name is very convenient, Mr Lucrative. You can give it to those who ask for the other ones when you don't want them to associate it with what you've done or about to do." He smirked at Manny's comment, then he leaned a bit toward the Mirialan. "What would you like to call me?"
He glanced toward Jyrvess. He recognised her from some of the other clubs. "Story time then."

Re: Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
"Once upon a time," Jarvis began while the Mirialan whispered a risque answer to Fuff's question in his ear. "There was a young and dashing man. Few pilots as bold and none as stunning. On a job, once, he had to drop some cargo. Cargo he never quite had the chance to recover. Now, he's older and out of the game but he knows where the cargo must have landed. Big load, would need to find a speeder and a loader bot or some other manner of lifting it for the job. Too much for old bones.. aside from the fact it's in the desert and I don't do uncomfortable weather anymore."
"Keep the box sealed, deliver it to a location I will provide. Easy money for your discretion," he looks between them. "Think that's a problem you can handle?"

Manny paused a moment, looking at his two apparent partners, and then back to Jarvis, smiling.
"Sure." He said confidently. "No problem. The three of us can handle it. If I had two middle names, the other one would be discretion."
He looked back to the other two, eyebrows going up just a little, waiting for them to agree.

Jyvress sighed, she wasn't much a cargo hauler but a job was a job at this point. "Seems easy enough. Mr Lucratively Discreet seems confident. What about...." She shifted to look at Fuff. "My other associate here."

"I'd also accept Mr Discreetly Lucrative." Manny murmured as an aside, smirking.
Re: Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
"Some charming circumstances notwithstanding..." He had smirked at the spicy sobriquet and lightly scratched the Mirialan's back a bit along the spine in response with a single claw. "I think the desert might be a nice change of pace to what's going on in the city." There were many reasons for it. "I'm with you and Mr Luke D. Screet in it." He confirmed it with a nod. "You can call me Mr Gib."

"Well, then Mr Gib and Mr Lucrative-Discreet, that would make me Mrs Bibliosoph," She rubbed her cheek, "Or I guess Mrs BB for short." Another sigh.
Re: Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
"I like the short of it, Mrs BB. It's quite charming, even cute, and suits you well." The Farghul nodded. "What a serendipitous turn of events. And I thought today was going to be on the duller side." He glanced at the quest-giver. "How do we begin?"

Re: Another Day at the Bar [Day 1, Early Evening]
"Hey!" Manny grinned, his expression brightening further. "If we're gonna call you Mrs. BB, we should call me Mr LD. Like keeping it on the LD, right?"
He frowned. "Or is that keeping it on the DL? Whichever one it is, I should be that one."
