He should have seen it coming. It was taking too long to secure the ship. Honestly, it was surprising she had stayed in the safe house for as long as she had. As soon as he got word, Jaxom started looking around for any information on Jaina.

Arriving at the safehouse the Ugnaut who watched over it informed him as much as he could. Having settled down for the night Jaina seemed fine, distant as expected, but fine. Listening to music through the late hours of the night as became usual. When he woke the next morning the music was still playing and when he checked her room she was simply gone.
Out the window, down a few fire escapes, and she was gone. While he followed her trail out to street level he lost it at the center of a road with no way to figure out which way she went. Suggesting, he thought maybe Jaxom might have better luck.

He thanked the Ugnaut and looked around. The trail was cold, but he was hoping he could find some clue. But, nothing stood out.
Climbing back up to the window, he wondered why she left when she did. Had she seen something? Or, was there somewhere she wanted to be?

While Jaxom didn't find a physical trail, he did notice that a lot of the shops in the area have some sort of outside-theme to it. Perhaps one of the people working in these shops would have spotted her?
Average difficulty social check, setback for not knowing Jaxom, boost as per location.

"What's she look like stranger, maybe I've seen her around?" the buxom lass said, with a welcoming smile and conservative dress. "Tell you easy which one of the shops here she hit up, maybe?"

"Young, about this tall. Reddish hair, freckles." he described the girl.

"Ah, her? She went through Malcom's," she pointed out a jewelry shop down the road a bit, "and then popped over to that ice-cream parlor," she indicated that, "and then off down a the alley. Which seemed a bit strange but she went off like there was a ghost behind her. Serious look. That any help hun?"

"Ah, she probably saw another stray." he shook his head. "I'd better go check on her. Thank you."
He left the shop and made his way over to the alley.

For a bit he would journey, over boxes. Around dumpsters and squeezing through crevices. However, give time, he'd eventually come to a special little spot between the buildings that was made up to look like a little hangout.
A girl sat, turned away, and nursed her cheeks with a pulled up sleeve. About Jaina's age she sat there, not having noticed Jaxom.

"Hi there." He spoke in a soft, relaxed manner. He walked towards her, with his hands open at his sides. He wanted it clear he wasn't a threat.

She seemed startled, but she was a street kid and hid it well. Mascara ran down her cheeks and was smudged around her eyes. A whole mess of a previously elegant piece of work. Such a shame, really. Seeing him she settled well.
"What do you want?" she asked, turning away from him, sniffling and sucking it in as she brushed off her cheek.

"To talk." he answered. "Actually, I wanted to know what you want."

"What I want?" she asked, incredulous as she swung around. "What I want is for everything to just SLOW DOWN," she said, "first Jaina.. now this?? Can't I just have some time to KRIFFING PROCESS!?" she yelled the last bit out, but it wasn't directed at Jaxom, it was as if she was angry at the world, maybe even the whole galaxy.

"I wish it could." he sighed. "I wish everything would just stop for a bit. Feels like I can't take a breath sometimes."

Hearing his voice, his tone, she seemed to settle a bit, "Y-yea.." she said, looking down at the floor. Sitting on a crate of some-kind.

He took a seat near her. "Tell me more. About what you want."

"I.. I don't even know who you are, why should I? Why do you even care?" she asked, her voice revealing how shaky it was. Barely she was holding herself together by holding her hands closed tight in her lap.

"I came here looking to help someone." he shrugged. "I found you. My name's Jaxom."

"Max," she said, bringing one of her hands up to rub her upper-arm.
