An Afternoon Walk (D5 LA)
Dross decides to get a little exercise before work.
Re: An Afternoon Walk (D5 LA)
When walking down the street Dross comes around a corner right into the path of an Imperial officer. Before he could say anything or apologize the officer said, "Dross? That you?"
It was someone he once knew, in the academy days.

Dross mind goes blank for a second before being filled with obscenities at his luck. "Oh. Hey."
Re: An Afternoon Walk (D5 LA)
"Dross!!" he said with a little more excitement, offering a gloved hand to the man. "How long has it been?"

Dross takes the man's hand and shakes. "A couple of years when you got accepted for officer school. You're looking good." And he meant it. Even if things didn't go how he wanted, he was happy for his old friend.

"I heard you uh.. had some trouble? Everything alright?" he asked, turning to the direction Dross was walking. Directing him onward with every intention of following along.

Dross follows though his words are dangerous. Could he know about Dross's crime? "Yeah. Just turned out flying wasn't for me after all." Sadness and bitterness entered Dross's voice. He did not have to pretend.

"Hey.. hey," he said, patting his old friend on the shoulder. "Why don't we go get a drink, huh?" he said, taking off his officers cap.

"Sure. How about Lux? I'll buy."

"Kinda hard to talk in there. How about a small place I know, just up the street? Guy in there is a friend, kinda, at least he's one of the few that treat men in the uniform well enough still."

Well, it doesn't sound like Nerra's place. Does sound a bit like a trap. Damnit. "Sure. Lead the way." Dross hoped his old friend really did want to catch up.

Walking with him to the place, nearby as it was, the man behind the counter gave the officer a wave. They exchanged greetings and they both took a seat together. "Alright.. now, let's get you some food cause you're talking sour," he said with a casual smile.

Dross gave a chuckled. "Well, better than eating sour like back at the academy."

"Right??" he said and laughed. "So, how long have you been on Kamda? Never thought about a civilians pilot licence or anything? Work for the Empire in a less.. glorious manner but it'd keep you flying. Can't picture ol' Dross as anything other than a pilot," he said with a smile.
