[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess lowered the pistol and frowned, looking back toward the city, "...it's more complicated then that. But suffice to say I ended up running and now I begin to tire of it, though what that means...well I am still figuring it out."

[Raven Cadera]

"Hmm... natural thing to do would be to team up with like-minded people. Solidarity for one, but also safety and shared resources."

Her head turned in the direction of the city. "Plenty of folks might feel like you do, but most don't wanna fight."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"If that is what I decide on, maybe I'll just try to make a life here and not fight at all," Jyrvess sighed, "Not that I am much of a farmer."

[Raven Cadera]

"But more of a fighter?" she wondered.

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Have you seen me shoot?" She quipped, "...no I no what you mean. Not all battles are won with guns and punches."

Jyrvess frowns, "These last few days have reminded me of my days during the Clone Wars, when I felt like I was doing some good in the galaxy. I had forgotten that feeling while I was running."

[Raven Cadera]

"Then it sounds like you know what you'll be doing in the future. More or less. Having a purpose is good," Raven nodded, speaking with an amused tone.

"Hopefully you won't have to shoot while doing it though. But with more practice, you'll probably get the hang of it."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"I know the cold-blooded killers in Imperial Intelligence and those jumped up thugs in the ISB." She grimaced, "Regardless of my own intentions not falling in line makes one a target. What happened last night is just the beginning. And not all the crackdowns will be soldiers in the street."

Jyrvess relaxed and took aim again. The shot missed again, but this time the scorch marks bled over into the outermost ring.

[Raven Cadera]

"Mm, I saw first-hand how that was," she nodded, watching Jyrvess' progress with the blaster.

"Wonder why they're so nervous here though. Seems like they're partially instigating the situations here, if you ask me."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"The Empire rules through strength, anyone that exposes their weaknesses is a threat. Monolithic force needs only a crack to come crumbling down." Jyrvess lowers the blaster and sighs, "But beyond that....whatever is going on at the mines reeks of greater importance then just stomping down on dissent. If I had access to records...maybe I could piece something together."

[Raven Cadera]

Raven shrugged. "That's a bit beyond what I'm capable of, I'm afraid. I've heard talks of something about the mines, but no idea what it's about... If I were to guess, Imps are probably pushing the workers too hard or something for whatever resouce the mines give, and the workers are pushing back."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Possible but seems less likely. They wouldn't need the secrecy, at least not on the planetary level." Jyrvess chewed on the inside of her cheek, "No...I'd wager they found something. I had thought maybe a relic of the Clone Wars...given the CIS base, but now I am not so sure. The planet's history is rather mundane, not sure what it would be on the planet."

[Raven Cadera]

"Hmmm..."

This all seemed a bit crazy to her, but maybe not far-fetched. "Well, if you're planning on heading somewhere dangerous and need someone to protect you, you can give me a call. I might even be nice and not ask for a fee if there's a good fight to be had."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess laughed, "Well...I have nothing planned now, but maybe...no for now it's a game of wait and see."

"And I couldn't afford any fees, unless you take them in services rendered."

[Raven Cadera]

"I might. Or in whatever loot that's found," Raven shrugged. "I'm not too picky, or expensive when it comes to punching the Empire on the nose."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

"Just be careful...the Empire has daggers in the shadows, and a willingness to use them." Jyrvess frowns again, "Watch out for yourself and your loved ones."

[Raven Cadera]

She was going to say something about attacking her would draw the ire of a group of Mandalorians, but she figured it was best not to.

"The Empire's already taken those away from me, so I ain't got much else to lose."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess looks down and then out to the forest, her expression is one of sadness and loss, "I...understand." Hesitantly she reaches out a hand and places it on Raven's shoulder. "My job at the library was not all they took from me either."

[Raven Cadera]

It takes a moment before Raven puts a gloved hand over Jyrvess'. "That's why you should make the bastards pay..."

[Jyrvess Ertil]

Jyrvess is quiet for a moment, not sure what to say on that. Her expression remained of sadness but a range of emotions played across her eyes. Anger, fear, sadness, guilt. Finally she speaks, "I...believe that is what I want yes. But not just revenge. My father was a General in the Clone Wars, he served the Empire hoping to bring about galactic peace. He saw what the Empire had turned the Republic into but couldn't just walk away."

She looks down, "They killed him when it became obvious he was still a Republic man and not one of their new order. Killed him and smeared his legacy to make a martyr to their vile cause."

"I just ran after his death, to frightened to do anything else." She clenched her jaw, "He deserved a better daughter. Maybe its time he got one."

[Raven Cadera]

Raven was silent for a moment. Then her hands reached up to her helmet, undoing the clips that kept it in place as she took it off to look at Jyrvess without the visor in the way. There was pain and sadness in her own eyes as she looked at the smaller woman.

"Your pain is my pain, and I understand it all too well. With Gar Saxon and the Imperials taking over Mandalorian space, my family... specifically, my parents, as members of the Protectors, were too considered to be enemies of the new regime. It earned them their deaths, and my older brother's too..."

She sighed softly. "I too have been on the run for a long time - from the one who killed my family. From the Imps. From the lackeys of Gar Saxon. But I've found a place now, with other Mandalorians who feel similarly."
