Kamda

He nodded. "I'm sure she knows, but I'll tell her when I can."

"I don't know if I'll see her, but if I do, is there anything you'd like me to tell Jaina?" he asked.

"It's hard, letting go." he said. "There are some things you'll never let go of. But, your not alone. If you need me, I'm here. There's the others, too. For better or worse, we've all banded together in different ways. That doesn't make us all friends, but we're all tied together."

"Thank you." he took the offering. "Stay inside tonight. You should be safe out here, but it's best to be careful."

"Sometimes, you don't have a choice." he shrugged. "I couldn't stay on Bellionas after the Separatists lost, not for very long. I thought I could help here on Kamda, but arrived to late. So, I stayed. I tried to help in other ways, help the people. With all of this, though, it felt like I had to do ...

"The same thing happened to me." he told her. "I was useless as a soldier and I failed my home. I thought I could make up for it here on Kamda, but I was too late."

"You did well last night. You were braver than I was." he smiled.

Quietly, Jaxom slipped into the bar. The Empire had greater concerns than him, but it was still best to be cautious. Once he was certain of who was there, he stepped out of the shadows. C77 chirped something and he nodded in response.

"Azina, how are you?" He asked as he approached her.

I'm sorry I didn't interact much with everyone. Jaxom felt like the guy people came to see, rather than reaching out to others.

"I've got people coming." Jaxom said. "Pilots for the ships."

"The party will be tomorrow." he said as he picked up another blaster. "Go get some rest. I'll get the doc or someone to check on all of you."

"What's been done here. What's being done up there. There's going to be a response to all of it." Jaxom picked up the blaster that had been left behind. "Kamda will need to prepare for that."

"You all really tore things up in here." he looked around. "But, I wouldn't suggest staying long."

Jaxom had helped Manny to his feet. "Who else is here? Who else needs help?"

Watching her leave and taking note of her appearance, Jaxom stepped out from a side corridor. He'd gotten to know the Spaceport fairly well, but it had taken him time to get inside. Too much time. He was late again, hopefully not too late.

"There are things happening tonight." he shook his head. "In the city and above. People are going to need help, people like your daughter. I need to see what I can do for them."

"I don't know much about kids, but I remember being like that. I tried my hardest not to be like my father. Looking back, I can see how much like him I've always been." he sighed. "I wish I'd had the chance to tell him how proud of that I am."

He reached into a pocket and took out the necklace.

"She asked me to bring you this."

"She's a great girl, doing what she did." He said. "Hiding was hard for her. She knew she was going to lose a lot. She knew she wouldn't see you. But, she's not on Kamda anymore. She's not in danger anymore. She's somewhere safe and free."
